Ministry Home Needs

There is a need for work on the basement of the ministry home. The ministry home is the primary place for evangelism, discipleship and fellowship within the Boston ministry. Since the ministry is growing, there is a need for more room. For instance, on Sundays, the whole fellowship is invited to the ministry home for dinner and an afternoon Bible study. On a regularly basis, around twenty adults and children pack into the small kitchen and living room of the ministry home. Unless corrected, this over crowding will hamper the spiritual and numerical growth of the Boston ministry. By making the basement of the ministry home usable, this problem will be temporarily solved. In order to do so, the basement will need a sump-pump, the floor partially cemented and the remainder a skim coat. In addition to this the ceiling will need painted. We anticipate that this will cost around $1,900.00 for materials. In addition, there is also a need for qualified laborers to do the work.

There is another reason why this is an important project. My son Rob, his wife Amanda and their two children (our grandchildren!), Robin and Lola are moving to Boston in May. Rob desires to join us in the Boston ministry. When they first move to Boston, they will be staying with us. This means that we need more room. Rob and Amanda will be a wonderful addition to the Boston team.

Please pray and if you are able, give financially to this project. In addition to this, if you know of several people who are qualified to do this kind of work and who are willing to serve the Lord in this way, please let me know.

Ankeny Baptist Church sent a ministry team to work on the basement in the fall of 2009. They did quite a bit of work but more remains.
